SIT Study Abroad offers the following program in Nairobi, Kenya:

        Development, Health, and Society

SIT Study Abroad (SIT) programs provide students with the opportunity to combine rigorous academic study with interactive cultural experiences. In contrast to traditional study abroad programs at foreign universities, SIT programs are field-based and draw upon local resources to create a unique curriculum for participants.

Highlights:

  • SIT programs are field-based and emphasize hands-on learning.
  • These programs include an independent study project that requires individualized research.
  • There are several specific scholarships available for SIT participants ranging from $500 - $5,000.

Note:   The programs in Kenya are restricted for University of Oregon students because of the current U.S. Department of State Travel Warning. Students must submit successful petitions to attend these programs. Petition information can be found under the Admission and Preparation Section.
