Tübingen (Spring of 1987)
Baden-Württemburg, Stuttgart (1987-88)

After 10 very successful years as the Development Director for Ronald McDonald House at Standford, where I raised over $35 million dollars (making it the most financially sound RMH in the country with the biggest endowment), including $20M for a capital campaign for an expansion to double the number of families served, and which I designed, I left to work at UCSF as the Development Director for the AIDS Research Institute in downtown San Francisco, raising money for AIDS research, treatment, international, prevention and vaccine activities. My husband of eight years and I bought a beautiful 1902 "Grand Victorian" right in the heart of the Castro and we enjoy traveling internationally, naturlich, especially Germany.

Richard Kessel
Beijing, China (1986)

My wife, Robin ’89 and I live in a Denver suburb with our daughter Kaleigh and son Drew. I am a freelance technical writer, tax consultant and part-time professor. I teach communication skills as an adjunct professor at the Metropolitan State College of Denver and as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. While my focus has been physician training and assessment, I hope to expand my writing into a sustainable career. My first book will probably be about my struggle to overcome my obsession with the Porsche 911 I have been restoring the past seven years. Robin works as a speech therapist at the same school where Kaleigh is in forth grade and Drew is in second. Both kids are doing extremely well. Kaleigh is the socialite while Drew is the sports nut. Robin is the flag football/gymnastics/piano lessons/play date mom.
