Jenna (Stein) Boyer

I married Isaiah Boyer, who also studied in Queretaro, MexicoI on July 30, 2005. I got my master's in public administration from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (in Monterey, CA) in May 2006 and now work as a program manager for a nonprofit organization in Berkeley, CA, called AnewAmerica Community Corporation. AnewAmerica provides business training to immigrants who want to start their own business, and we work with immigrants and refugees from all over the world to help them become more self-sufficient by starting their own small business in the Bay Area.

Elaine Drom

I graduated with a BA in Spanish and linguistics from the U of O. I went on to get my MA in linguistics from San Jose State University. I specialized in semantics and computational linguistics. For the past three years I have been working at a speech technology company working on various projects surrounding speech to speech translation.

I am teaching global studies and am the coordinator of student affairs at the High School for Youth and Community Development in Brooklyn, NY.

I'm currently working at Nike Golf in Beaverton, OR. Traveled back to Australia twice since studying there in 2000 and recently got to visit my old dorm room - Go Glenn College!

Erica Kindrick
IE3 Global Internship to Mexico, ESL Instructor at Celanese Mexicana, Ocotlan, Jalisco (Spring 2002)

I recently returned from my two-year service with the Peace Corps in Panama. While there I worked with an organic community farm, taught ESL classes, facilitated a couple of Project Design & Management seminars, and designed and implemented an HIV/AIDS awareness seminar for my community. I am currently working at OHDC (www.ohdc.org) a non-profit agency that assists migrant farmworkers in the state of Oregon with employment and training needs to help them obtain more stable, permanent jobs.

Charles Leavitt
Perugia, Italy (2001)

I am currently working toward a Ph.D. in Italian literature at the University of Notre Dame, and spent last year, and will spend this year, living in Siena, Italy, doing research with the Opera del Vocabolario Italiano, a historical dictionary project of the Italian language pre-1375.

I am teaching ELL at Centennial High School! This is my first year as a certified teacher, but I worked for three years in the David Douglas district while completing my program at PSU.

Employed at the UO’s Office of International Programs as the SEVIS coordinator. Married with one child and one more on the way. Have traveled to Mexico two times in the past year, plan to return again soon!

Joseph Pitt
Rome, Italy (Summer program in architecture with professor Stephen Duff)

Piper Woodworth (BArch 2002) and I were married August 28, 2004. We have both been working in architecture in San Diego until recently. I just began a master’s in design studies (MDesS) program at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where I will be researching emerging technologies in the architecture and design.

After graduating from U of O, I worked and lived in Shanghai for four years doing IT related work. I am currently back in the US pursuing an MBA in international management with the intention of heading back to East Asia following completion of the program.

Lauren Eve Bean
DIS Denamrk International Study

Living in San Francisco for 3 years. Married Erik Bean in Sept 2006 and we bought our first house. I work for ARCADIS (Environmental Engineering) out of San Fran. Erik and I have traveled a great deal since we met in 2004 - Brazil, Argentina, Italy, all over Western Europe and even Croatia for a month. My company may be sending me to the Netherlands for a year to work so we will be visiting Erik's parents in Norvay.
