I just returned from seven months traveling in South America. I work at Planned Parenthood in Portland and was compelled to learn Spanish because of the large Spanish speaking population in Portland.

Married to Martin Latterner, met at Hebrew U; in second year of master’s of international affairs at the George Washington University; working as a research and program assistant at the Creative and Innovative Economy Center at GWU.

Received a masterss in education from Holy Names University. I'm now an educational therapist in San Francisco CA.

Raime (Landers) Fansler
Oviedo, Spain

After graduating in 2004, I got a special education teaching job in Central Point, Oregon. My husband, Jacob, son, Kaden, and myself moved to Medford to be closer to family. In July 2006, we had another baby boy named, Kiefer. Currently, I am starting my third year of teaching in Central Point. We are having a lot of fun camping and spending time with family and friends. We do miss living in Eugene, but we love it here!

Queretaro, Mexico (Summer 2002)

Ever since studying in Queretaro, I've had a love affair with Mexico. After graduation, I moved to Queretaro and taught English for a little over a year. I currently live in Oregon and teach Spanish to children during the day and give English classes to adults in the evenings. During the summers, I spend my time in Mexico volunteering in migrant shelters along the border. Going to Queretaro opened my eyes to something I never knew I loved! I still visit my host family every few years and am already planning my next trip to Mexico.

Monteverde, Costa Rica (Tropical Ecology through CIEE)

The study abroad program I went on was particularly academically challenging. It was also a blast! I learned a tremendous amount about plants and animals in the tropics and I left with a new sense of confidence that was founded in experience and achievement. Since then I have worked as a research assistant in a biology lab, worked on an organic farm, and traveled in Central Mexico.

I had been working at DE Architects as a project manager/design architect for three years in Santa Monica, CA, I am currently a graduate student at USC pursuing a master’s of real estate development (MRED) degree. Although I might now be studying at the Trojans' campus, I'm forever a DUCK!

One year as a credit analyst at a commercial bank in Oakland, CA. 2 years in Kyrgyzstan as a Peace Corps Volunteer and currently living in Boston, MA and working ever so slowly toward an eventual career as a psychoanalyst.

Employed at the College of Education at the University of Oregon and beginning the Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership in Fall 2007.

I worked as an accountant for 3 years but after I had enough with being bored out of my mind, I got a master's in teaching from Pacific University and now teach math and Spanish at Columbia River High School in Vancouver, WA.

After getting my master's in 03, I worked for an Indian Tribe. From 04-07, I taught for Oregon City School Dist. I also work as a chef in Downtown Portland for my second job.

I went straight from UofO on to nursing school at the University of Washington, where I worked for 2 years as an RN in the Seattle emergency department and with an education/health promotion program and am now going back for my master’s in nursing and community health (also at UW) Still love to travel and have since been able to spend time in Guatemala, parts of Eastern Europe and just wrapped up a trip in South America.
