Dates for 2008-09 are as follows:

July session:  June 22 to July 26, 2008
August session:  July 27 to August 30, 2008
Fall Semester:  September 2 to November 29, 2008
Spring Semester:  March 24 to June 9, 2009

Accommodations

All students are placed with an Argentine host family. Breakfast and dinners are shared with host families. During the week, lunch is provided at a local restaurant/cafeteria. Students receive a small stipend for weekend lunches.

During the application process, AHA International will provide a detailed housing survey in order to match students with host families as well as possible. Please note that assigning housing is not an exact science; students should anticipate making some compromises and adapting a little in order to be able to live in Argentina and experience Argentine life firsthand.

Insurance

All students on this program are enrolled in a mandatory health and accident insurance plan. Information regarding comprehensive insurance will be provided by AHA International.

UO Financial Aid

Although most forms of UO financial aid may be applied to program costs, students should be aware that they may need to supplement their standard financial aid package. All students using UO financial aid should download the attached instructions.

Using Your Financial Aid Abroad

Summer
During the summer, loans are generally the only type of aid available to students studying overseas and students should be aware that they may need to supplement their standard financial aid package. Summer financial aid applications are available beginning April 1 and must be submitted to the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships by May 1. Early application is strongly advised.
