Academic Program
During the academic year courses focus on Spanish language, Mexican culture, history, and migration. All courses, with the exception of specific language courses, are taught in English. Usually, during the academic year, a U.S. visiting faculty member from the UO or another Northwest university teaches one specialty course.
Qualified students may direct enroll in Universidad Latina de América courses or participate in internships or a TESOL Teaching Practicum.
The Summer Program for Educators is an intensive three-week program designed for 400-level education majors, graduate students in education, and teachers seeking summer course work that is immediately applicable to their classroom environments.
The six-week summer Language and Culture program is designed for undergraduate students who wish to study intensive Spanish and take a course in Mexican history or Mexican literature.
