Location
Singapore is situated at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, and is at the center of South East Asia. Historically, it has been at the cross roads of trade and major world cultures. Three major cultures co-exist in Singapore namely: Chinese, Malay, and Indian. Singapore has a population of three million people, with an additional one million expatriates working in the country. In recent decades there has been an influx of people coming in to Singapore. Singapore is the economic heart of South East Asia with major financial institutions having established regional headquarters there. It is politically very stable, thus providing the incentive for foreign investments
National University of Singapore (NUS) is positioning itself to be a leading global university. It has 11 faculties covering a wide area of disciplines ranging from architecture to medicine to music. The university boasts a diverse student body of more than 32,000 students from 60 countries. Students may choose to study at NUS as part of the Student Exchange Program (SEP) during the spring or fall semesters or the academic year. UO Clark Honors College SEP students participate in the University Scholars Programme (USP) at NUS.
