Academic Calendar

- Fall August 4 to December 6, 2008
- Spring January 12 to May 4, 2009
Dates for 2009-10 will be available during winter term.
Accommodations
Students live in either the Halls of Residence or Prince George’s Park (PGP) Residences. PGP Residences are often the choice of international students and provide a social atmosphere without obligations that residents be heavily involved in sports and other activities. PGP Residences offer single rooms and are self-catering. Some PGP rooms have air conditioning and/or attached bathrooms. Housing fees are paid directly to NUS.
Applicants for the NUS exchange will be given instructions after their interviews regarding the application process for accommodations. The application has an opening cycle and rooms are allocated on the basis of availability. Non-graduating (NG) students are not always guaranteed a room on campus. Residential Services can assist students in finding an off-campus accommodation in the event that they are not allocated on-campus accommodation. Housing notification is usually given soon after program acceptance.
For further information about NUS accommodations, go to their website at: NUS Residential Services
Insurance
All students on this program are enrolled in a mandatory health and accident insurance plan. A complete description of the benefits and basic provisions of the insurance policy is included with pre-departure orientation materials.
