Deadlines
The application deadline is:
February 20
Both the UO and Cambridge applications must be complete by this date. Students are strongly encouraged to apply earlier for best selection of Cambridge courses and accommodations.
Eligibility Requirements
The program is open to students from all fields of study. To be eligible, students must meet the following minimum requirements before departure:
- at least 45 credits (sophomore standing) by departure.
- an overall GPA of 2.75 or above (3.25 for graduate students).
- at least three courses completed in the general discipline(s) in which they will study in Cambridge.
Students must also make satisfactory academic progress throughout the application process and their study abroad program, and otherwise comply with policies and procedures of the host university, the UO and Study Abroad Programs.
If you do not meet the minimum requirements, please contact Roger Adkins before applying.
Application Process
IMPORTANT: There are two separate applications for this program, and applicants must complete both of them at the time of initial application. Both sets of materials must be turned in to Study Abroad Programs, Room 330 Oregon Hall.
A $50 application fee is due at the time the application is submitted and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
After students have submitted all necessary forms, they will be interviewed either by Martha Bayless or a staff member of Study Abroad Programs. The UO Interviewer will decide about conditional admissibility, and then the application will be forwarded to Cambridge for final review.
Students who fail to complete the both applications will not be admitted to the Cambridge program.
Graduate Students
In addition to the process described above and below, graduate student applicants must also complete the Graduate Enrollment in UO-Sponsored Study Abroad Programs form. This form requires that you obtain pre-authorization for your program from your advisor, department head and the Graduate School.
