The London program is ideal for University of Oregon undergraduate students in a wide variety of academic fields. The program offers upper-division course work in humanities and social sciences. In addition, the program allows students to complete an optional internship that is custom-tailored to their skills and goals, and participants earn 7 credits in their UO major.

Highlights:

  • The London program allows UO undergraduate students to experience life in one of the world's most "global" and vibrant cities.
  • The program's theme in the Fall Term is "Contemporary Britain," and the weekend excursion is to Scotland.
  • The program's theme in the Winter Term is "Turning Points in the British Past," and the weekend excursion is to Wales.
  • The program's theme in the Spring Term is "Divided Britain: Britain in Conflict," and the weekend excursion is to the north of England.
  • The program also offers custom-tailored internships for juniors and seniors with qualifying GPA's.
  • Classes are taught at the AHA London Centre, located in a stately Georgian house in the Bloomsbury District.
  • Participants live with British host families and enjoy a high degree of freedom to explore the vast array of cultural amenities in London.
  • A Flexi-Week vacation of one week off (for travel or further exploration of London) is scheduled during each of the three terms.

AHA International

The London program is sponsored by the Northwest Council on Study Abroad (NCSA) in cooperation with AHA International. AHA, founded in 1957 and based in Portland, Oregon, is an academic program of the University of Oregon providing educational college experiences abroad.
