Accommodations
Fall and Spring
All participants will be assigned housing with a French home-stay family that has been carefully screened and selected by CIDEF's housing coordinator. During the application process, AHA International will provide a detailed housing survey in order to match students with housing options as well as possible. Please note that assigning housing is not an exact science; students should anticipate making some compromises and adapting a little in order to be able to live in a French home and experience French life firsthand. Some families live in smaller towns just outside Angers, but students will have a commuting pass for the bus.
Fall and Spring
Participants may opt for a home-stay (as described above) or for residence in a university student residence hall room. The residence halls are part of the Catholic university and therefore have curfews and other rules of conduct. The residence hall option is most suitable for more mature or other students who do not need or desire the family as a means of introduction into French life. Residence hall students will be responsible for their own meals, and there are shared kitchen facilities available.
Insurance
All students on this program are enrolled in a mandatory health and accident insurance plan. Information regarding comprehensive insurance will be provided by AHA International.

Summer
During the summer, loans are generally the only type of aid available to students studying overseas and students should be aware that they may need to supplement their standard financial aid package. Summer financial aid applications are available beginning April 1 and must be submitted to the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships by May 1. Early application is strongly advised.
