Location

The City of Reims is located about 130 km northeast of Paris.  Surrounded by the vineyards of Northeastern France, Reims is the capital of champagne country.  Its world-renowned, 13th-century cathedral was the coronation site of French kings.  In 1991, UNESCO designated Reims a World Heritage Site because of its history and architecture dating back to Roman times.  History lovers will be captivated by the city’s exquisite art deco architecture.  Its central location, at the junction of two major highways, makes for easy access to Paris and points beyond.  Paris is currently 90 minutes by train and will soon be 45 minutes by a new high-speed train line.

Reims is a university city.  Altogether, the city has 28,000 university students, eight training and research units (UFR) and nine institutes of higher education.  The City of Reims has a number of cultural centers and many famous historical monuments, including: Reims Cathedral, the Beaux-Arts Museum, the Saint Denis Museum, the Fujita Chapel, the Saint-Remi Basilica, the National Drama Center, the National Center for Art and Technology, plus twenty cinemas and theatres, including the Grand Théâtre.

The Reims Management School is part of the prestigious French system of Grandes Écoles which have been training government and business leaders since the beginning of the 19th century.  RMS itself was founded in 1925 and is considered one of the leading French business schools.

10 minutes from downtown Reims and separated by the St. John Perse park, the two RMS campuses have classrooms and amphitheaters, as well as simulation and language laboratories, club areas, a mediatheque, and student life facilities.  Student residences (over 200 studios and apartments) complete the infrastructure, and make the new facilities a pleasant, modern campus.

The International Management Programme (IMP) was created in 1995.  It offers management electives taught in English by visiting professors from RMS partner and other universities. In 2004-2005, for example, professors came from the United States, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Finland, India, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Israel, Hungary, Russia and Canada.
