Academic Program
This program allows University of Oregon students to study (in English) in Italy for one semester or an academic year. A separate "summer" term (early May through mid-June) can be added by UO participants to the spring semester or the academic year but is not supported as a free-standing program for UO participants.
Participants in the program choose from a wide array of courses in all areas of business studies, including: business administration, management, marketing, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, and statistics. In addition, CIMBA offers each semester a handful of courses in journalism and communications and economics. Italian language courses are available and are strongly encouraged (especially for students with no background in Italian), but language course work is not required.
Required Course
All first-semester participants in the Paderno program are required to take a course on European Culture. This two-credit course was created specifically to enhance the learning experience abroad and to allow students to learn more about the European setting of international business, the European Union, and topics pertaining to Italian culture and history. For students who would like a broader or more in-depth introduction to these topics, a five quarter-credit course may be taken in its place.
Certificate Programs
The CIMBA campus offers a number of certificate programs, allowing participants to enhance their training and resume for specific career objectives. The CIMBA website includes extensive information about each of the four certificate options:
CIMBA Certificate in International Business
CIMBA Kepner-Tregoe Mind Based Performance Certificate
Rapport Leadership Breakthrough 1 Certificate
LEAP (Learn, Enrich, Achieve, Perform) Certificate

Registration and Credits
Students participating in this program will be registered at the University of Oregon and will receive UO credits for courses taken in Paderno. The students' course work will be reviewed and evaluated by appropriate academic departments at the UO. Students must keep detailed records of course outlines, reading lists, exam results, and other work completed to facilitate accurate evaluation by the academic departments at the UO.
Students are responsible for making sure that the courses they plan to take in Italy will meet major and minor requirements. Students are advised to consult with their academic advisor about their plans to study in the Paderno del Grappa program.
Course Equivalencies
Only those courses that have been taken by UO students in the last seven years are listed on the equivalency sheet. Courses that do not appear on this sheet will need to be approved for UO credit.
