The summer architecture program in Rome offers undergraduate and graduate students of Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Landscape Architecture a unique opportunity to experience studying and living in Rome, Italy, and to engage in the vibrant architectural and design culture of Rome’s open air museum of architecture.

Highlights:

  • A faculty member from the University of Oregon’s Department of Architecture is the resident director and instructor for the program.
  • Excursions in Rome and beyond allow students to expand their knowledge of Italy outside the classroom.
  • Participants earn 12 credits in three courses: studio (6 credits), theory seminar (3 credits), and media (3 credits).
  • Program goals include cultural enlightenment, architectural enlightenment, motivation and inspiration, as well as a valuable life experience.
