The priority application deadline is:

Applications will continue to be accepted until the program has reached its maximum enrollment.
Eligibility Requirements
This program is open to undergraduate and graduate architecture, interior architecture and landscape architecture students. To be eligible, students must by departure:
- have an overall GPA of 2.50 or above.
- be eligible for 4/584 studio sequences.
- have a valid passport in hand by March 1st (passports must be valid through February 28th of the following year).
Students must also make satisfactory academic progress throughout the application process and their study abroad program, and otherwise comply with policies and procedures of the host university, the UO and Study Abroad Programs.

Application Process
Early application is advised. Selection for the program is based on a review of the student's written application, transcripts, recommendations and a personal interview. Applications are submitted to Study Abroad Programs and will be processed as soon as they are completed.

A $50 application fee is due at the time the application is submitted and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Selection and Participation
Participants must meet the eligibility requirements for their chosen program, and be prepared linguistically, academically, and socially to succeed abroad. Study abroad participants must satisfactorily complete the following:
- well-written program application.
- personal interview.
- timely submission of required paperwork.
- attendance at pre-departure orientation sessions.
- payment of program fees.
Program participants must also demonstrate the ability to be successful overseas through evidence of maturity, motivation, and flexibility, and such other characteristics as Study Abroad Programs may deem relevant or appropriate. Participation in any program is subject to the approval of International Affairs and its partner institutions, which may grant or withhold such approval in their sole discretion.

Visa Information
Students accepted in this program must obtain a student visa for Italy, and applications can only be submitted through Study Abroad Programs. All admitted students must attend a required Italian Visa Orientation, to be held in the second half of winter term. Details will be sent by email in February.
In order to be eligible for a visa, you must hold a U.S. (or other) passport that is valid for six months past the exact date you plan to leave Italy. All students must have a valid passport in hand by March 1st.
Note: Students who have an EU or Swiss passport valid through at least February 28 of the following year, do not need to apply for an Italian student visa.
Students who plan to participate in both the Macerata and Rome architecture programs will apply for one visa (at the Macerata deadline) to cover the entire period.
Please note that visa regulations and policies change frequently.
Orientations
All students are required to attend mandatory pre-departure meetings.
All study abroad participants must also fulfill the Study Abroad Programs required orientation process. Students will be required to complete a general Blackboard orientation.
The orientations will cover administrative logistics, travel, health, safety, conduct, housing and cultural adjustment. More information regarding the orientation process will be emailed to students.
