The Siena program is ideal for University of Oregon undergraduate students who desire to make rapid progress in their study of the Italian language. The program offers upper-division course work in diverse subject areas, as well as regular offerings in art history.

Highlights:

  • The Siena program allows UO undergraduate students to experience life in the heart of storied Tuscany, right along the famed Grand Tour Route through Italy.
  • The program’s calendar consists of three quarters that are more or less coterminous with the UO’s fall, winter and spring terms.
  • Classes are taught at the AHA Siena Center, located in the heart of the old city.
  • Participants may live in shared apartments, with some combination of Italians, other foreigners, or other program participants as their roommates, or they may choose to live with an Italian family in a boarding situation.
  • The Siena program includes wonderful excursions to many of the most famous towns and sites in Tuscany, including regular trips to Florence, plus at least one weekend excursion to a city like Rome, Milan or Naples.
