The Aberdeen program provides University of Oregon students an opportunity to enroll directly in courses taught at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. The program is ideal for students interested in intensive study in many fields of the humanities, natural and social sciences, as well as some unusual areas.

Highlights:
- The University of Aberdeen is the modern result of the merger of two colleges dating from the late medieval period; the modern university is a major research center with dozens of departments and research units and over 13,000 students.
- The program boasts one to two annual scholarships, covering the full Aberdeen tuition, to full-year UO participants in any field of study.
- Aberdeen offers several unique areas of study, such as biotechnology, Celtic studies, cultural studies, ecology, film studies, history and philosophy of science, land economics, immunology, marine resource management, and more.
- In the summer, Aberdeen offers an intensive archaeology course on prehistoric Scotland.
- A coastal city, known for its stark, white granite structures, Aberdeen is an excellent setting for student life, and a good starting point for travel by air, train, and sea.
