Introduction:
Creating a Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program

The Study Abroad Programs staff is available to assist faculty members with creating, developing and managing quality faculty-led study abroad programs at the University of Oregon. Our program coordinators and budget officers will work with faculty by assisting with:

  • The development of the formal program proposal
  • The development of a working budget for the program
  • Publicity and promotion
  • The collection of student application and secondary paperwork
  • Conduct and health screening
  • Collection of program fees
  • Pre-departure orientations (where needed)
  • Managing program evaluation
  • Planning for future program cycles

Because the process of developing a faculty-led program is lengthy, faculty members who want to develop a program should contact Joy Killgore, Faculty-Led Programs Coordinator as early as possible in the program development process.

Please use the menu above to help you navigate through the faculty-led development process.
