Explanation of Credit and Grade Conversion Equivalencies for Selected Universities or (Multi)National Systems

The following downloadable files explain the credit and grade equivalency procedures used by the OIP professional staff in the evaluation of overseas program transcripts.

One general policy note: As a rule, the OIP compares the full-time equivalency ratios of particular crediting systems in order to establish credit conversion equivalencies—not contact hours or other highly variable information. This policy ensures that UO students who are considered full-time while enrolled in courses at a partner institution will receive full-time standing for that course work at the University of Oregon.

Note: This page is new in 2006. Additional files will be uploaded as they become available.
